I trust that this will help

I've only used the Cora Ball for a couple of weeks. It has caught some threads and longer hair. And it's so cute! I trust that this will make a positive impact for the environment over time.

Thank you for being an Ocean Protector and helping keep our ocean cleaner with every load of laundry!

Disappointed

I told everyone about the Cora Ball (in theory), It was a little spendy, but I am an active environmentalist and felt it was a contribution to keep items that come off clothing from getting into the waterways.
My first load of laundry that I used it in, it actually snagged a number of places on one fleece garment I had in there.
When I dried the load, there was hair caught by my drier's lint filter, (That hair should have been picked up by the Cora Ball when in the washing machine), Another time, a lot of strands of hair were left in the washing machine, but not picked up by the ball, I did everything the way I was supposed to. (Didn't under or overload the washing machine). (I also really understand about it not showing a lot of things at once when using it, etc.) I would really like to return it and I had promised people I would let them know how it works!

Hello Dani,

Thank you for being an Ocean Protector! Great job loading your washer 3/4 to full! This is known to reduce the amount of microfiber produced off your clothes in the first place, helping them last longer and causes less pollution.

Cora Ball is optimized to prevent microfiber pollution by preventing fiber fragmentation off our clothes and also to tangle and collect fiber. Cora Ball may tangle long human and pet hair, but that is not the primary purpose. You can read more about how Cora Ball works to prevent microfiber pollution here: https://bit.ly/36EaktH

We hope you will continue to use your Cora Ball with optimism and confidence, as we believe every amount of microfiber that is diverted from going downstream is a triumph - whether that is the invisible benefit of your clothes shedding less or because the Cora Ball is collecting those fibers that do break off. Thank you for taking part in this collective action with tens of thousands of others.

Is it working?

I've been using the Cora Ball for several weeks and do not see any collection of stuff in it. Not sure it is working.

Hello Karen, thank you for being an Ocean Protector!

Your Cora Ball is protecting your clothes and the ocean even before you see fibers. Two independent tests from university labs showed that Cora Ball is helping reduce microfiber shedding off our clothes in the first place, reducing microfiber pollution and helping our clothes last longer. Depending on your unique 60+ laundry factors, it can take weeks or longer to see fiber accumulation, so keep washing with confidence knowing you are helping keep our ocean clean!

Does it actually help? Idk.

I don’t really see any proof that it actually collects much. A few hairs and a couple threads. Gets tangled in straps.

Hello Emily, thank you for being an Ocean Protector! Your Cora Ball is working to reduce microfiber pollution even before you see fibers accumulating. This is also a great reminder that we recommend separating items with thin straps, lace, tassels, and other fine fabrics to wash in a garment bag or in a load without Cora Ball. Happy washing!

Maybe it's working?

I toss it in the laundry machine, put it on cold, use an eco-friendly strip. I don't actually see anything stuck to it besides some of my tangled up hair. But I guess it could working so I'll keep using it
